After a two year hiatus from music, Philadelphia-based beatmaker and DJ Shane Great returns with "Street Notes", an audio observation of the sights and sounds of his environment in the city of Brotherly Love. This beat tape/instrumental album combines his ever-changing approach to golden era hip-hop rhythms with dusty, atmospheric loops pulled from his crates of jazz, funk, and soul records. All of the elements are programmed to reflect the gritty textures seen in the 215.
